A firm built around the founder, not the fund.

Initium is Latin for beginning. Every company we back starts as a small, contrarian idea held by people who cannot stop working on it — and our whole structure exists to support that moment.

Philosophy

Our job is not to predict the market — it is to recognise conviction early and give it room, capital, and time. We are comfortable being the only believer on the cap table for a while.

Mission

To be the most useful investor on a founder's cap table for the ten years that matter. We keep our funds deliberately sized so a single company can return the whole portfolio — and so no founder is ever a rounding error to us.

Approach

We lead pre-seed and seed rounds, take a board seat only when asked, and reserve more than half of every fund for follow-on. We decide in two weeks or less, and we tell you no clearly rather than slowly.

The best companies look like bad ideas held by unreasonable people — right up until the moment they look inevitable.
